So what did last week bring to The Model Experience in Leeds….well pretty much the same as every week, lots of shoots, meet new people, lots of editing and lots of people taken on by agencies! (thats another blog!)
Monday morning brought this cheeky little monkey into the studio, although i didn’t say anything to her mum, i knew straight away she would be a great child model. An hour later when we were doing the viewing, i mentioned about child modelling and its safe to say i got the reaction i was looking for….and within 3 days the amazingly cute Chloe was signed by a top agency in Leeds. As the meerkats on Tv say…simples!!!
In amongst the busy studio week was a quiet week on the modelling side with just 1 shoot, which was actually a relief as i needed to catch up on A LOT of editing. So what (or should i say who) was next?

Well, enter a 13 year old boy called Harry, who came in for a portfolio shoot, with the intention then again of myself helping to find agencies. Sometimes you meet then shoot someone, whom no matter what age they are, they are just a natural…not arrogant, over confident, but just a natural.
We shot for about 2 hours, in the studio and outside, while all the time passing on my experience to both Harry and his mum. I think its really important to put both the model and parent at ease, so they trust me, who i will be contacting etc etc.
Three hours later, Harry left with his mum (and dad), so i quickly emailed a shot to an agency in Leeds, 2 minutes later he was accepted by the agency…thats even quick for my standards! Quick call to Harry’s mum to give them the good news…they were very pleased and grateful, so i was a happy boy! Do you have a child that wants to be a teen model? The rest of the week (and weekend) brought a fun mix of families, friends, babies and teen model parties. But also, a great guy called Mahmoud. The following day he was competing in a fitness model competition so wanted a model portfolio shoot to show what shape he was in….and oh my days, what shape he was in.
Had such a fun shoot, ably assisted by his wife, the lovely Neringa, who kept me laughing all day. I was so pleased with the outcome, although it was very difficult to get a bad shot of him!
So that was my week….the next week is already proving to be mighty hectic!!!
